Throwback Thursday is your weekly concentrated dose of nostalgia, where we round up the bests and worsts of all things 90s (and the early 2000s.) This week: A tribute to Jennifer Lawrence (our favorite fellow 90s kid!)
I know, I know. Usually Throwback Thursday is your weekly dose of 90s and early 2000s nostalgia. We usually round up the top 5 of something awesome or weird or hilarious or terrible that marked our childhoods. And no, Jennifer Lawrence wasn’t in any major TV shows or movies or music videos or anything like that in our youth, but it’s her 23rd birthday and I’ll be damned if I don’t pay tribute to the Hollywood starlet who I seriously, seriously want to be besties with. Besides, J-Law was born in 1990, and that makes her one of us. I mean, she’s only 3 weeks older than me! So even though the contents of this post aren’t exactly “Throwback” material, it’s dedicated to one of our own 90s kids and a truly awesome individual, and that’s all that matters, right? Right.
I have nothing snarky to say about Jennifer Lawrence on her birthday (or any other day, for that matter), but we all know that she, on the other hand, is totally down with the snark. In fact, that’s exactly what we’re celebrating with — all of Jennifer’s quirky, hilariously awkward and honest quotes. And some of them are kind of throwback moments…sort of. P.S. All of this is coming to you in GIF form, duh! I’ll just let her take over from here…
11 Reasons Everyone Loves (Or Should Love) Jennifer Lawrence:
1. She’s not afraid to get derpy…
2. …Or to talk about her love for food.
3. She knows she’s a little weird.
4. Okay, maybe she knows she’s a lot weird.
5. She gives good advice.
6. She’s totally confident.

7. But also totally humble.
8. And she’s not afraid to laugh at herself.
9. She’s open and honest (well, sort of)
10. She gets nervous, just like we all do.
11. And then there’s the part where she’s totally freakin’ beautiful.
So, how does it feel to be 23?
Happy birthday to my favorite fellow 90s kid, Jennifer Lawrence!
