When we accomplish something big, we celebrate. Let’s face it though – these big accomplishments are few and far between. It sucks to wait for these big accomplishments before celebrating success, so here are 3 ways to win at life more often.
1. Getting to the end of an eraser.
Erasers are pesky little school supplies that always get lost or stolen. They’re so insignificant that other people will slip them into pencil cases without a second thought, or you will just misplace it and never see it again. So when you actually get to the end of an eraser and it’s so small that you can’t use it properly anymore, it’s kind of the best thing in the world for a second or two.
2. Cracking an egg perfectly.
Cracking and cooking eggs properly is very important to people. In fact, I’m pretty sure I would get dumped if I broke the egg yolk on a boyfriend’s over easy egg. It doesn’t help that eggs crack in the weirdest ways. There is no rhyme or reason to the way that the crack forms around the egg shell. So when you get that perfect crack – all the way around the middle with one flattened spot for opening up the egg – it’s a victory like no other.
3. Getting more toothpaste out of the tube.
We’ve all been there. We’re at the end of a tube of toothpaste and realize that we don’t have another one, so we try all these different squishing methods, hoping to get enough out to brush our teeth one last time. This isn’t too hard to do. In fact, you could probably get away with doing this for about a week. However, there’s always that slim chance that no more toothpaste will come out and you’ll be out of luck. So every time this works, it’s worth a celebration.
And there you have it. My brain on happiness.
How do you win at life?
