Looking for the one perfect date spot or activity? Here’s five adorable and fun date ideas to take that special someone somewhere cool around Cornell University and Ithaca!
1. Moosewood Restaurant
Making its home in our little Ithaca, this world-famous eatery has a delicious, completely vegetarian / vegan menu! It’s hard to recommend what to try, because their “menu changes every day, based on what’s local, fresh and in season.” It’s a cute date spot because you’re experiencing world-class recipes together! (And the restaurant itself is classy but not too pricey, which helps).

2. Kayaking on the Cayuga
Better do this one before it gets way too cold! But kayak rentals run for great prices in the Commons at places like Puddledockers, where they help you right into your kayak in the canal next to their shop and you’re on your way! Check them out and see how pretty the lake is when you’re paddling through it on a sunny afternoon with your cutie!
3. Something EPIC Cornell puts on!
Just a few weeks ago, Ke$ha came to Cornell!! There’s always student talent, mind-blowing concerts, and famous people careening around campus. Keep your eyes and ears open and share the excitement with your special guy or gal!
4. The Rose Restaurant
This is definitely the place to take your date if you have NO IDEA what kind of food they like. The Rose’s menu ranges from burgers and steaks, to scallops and seafood, to enchiladas. Quality food, but also not too pricey!

5. Go be goofy together!
Maybe you can knock off a few of the 161 Things Every Cornellian Should Do on your date? Or put a hula skirt or sweater on Ezra Cornell on a chilly day? Pull a (safe) prank on a mutual friend! Show your date your funny side, and you both are in for some great memories!
What would you do on your date in Ithaca?
