It’s no secret that you can still have fun in parties, even without putting alcohol into your system. Hence, mocktails are conceived! Don’t let them mock you – they are equally exciting and refreshing as your favorite cocktails.

Here are six mocktail recipes that you can try. Some have been household favorites already!

1. Shirley Temple

I am sure you have ordered this in a restaurant, when you’re still not allowed by your parents to drink alcoholic ones. And yes, even kids try this! It is that popular! But have you tried making your own? Don’t fret; it’s fairly easy!

Ingredients:

  • Lemon-lime soda (3 ounces)
  • Ginger ale (3 ounces)
  • Grenadine (1/4 ounce)
  • Garnish – maraschino cherry (or any fruits of your choice)

Steps to Create it:

  1. In a collins glass filled with ice cubes, pour the  grenadine.
  2. With equal amounts of ginger ale and lemon-lime soda, top the liquid.
  3. Stir well.
  4. Garnish with maraschino cherry (or other fruits) and enjoy with your pals!

 

 

2. Virgin Mary

The Virgin Mary is basically the Bloody Mary – minus the booze! If you have your own version of Bloody Mary, just skip the vodka – and voila! You got the Virgin Mary.

The thing about this mocktail is it is refreshing and can be an energy-booster even in the morning. You can even add spices for that extra oomph!

Ingredients:

  • Tomato juice (3 ounces)
  • Lemon juice (1/2 ounce)
  • Celery salt
  • Dash Worcestershire sauce
  • Freshly-ground pepper
  • Hot sauce (Tabasco or Cholula – 2 dashes)
  • Garnish: Celery stalk

Steps to Create it:

  1. Gather all the ingredients.
  2. In a highball glass filled with ice cubes, combine all the liquid ingredients.
  3. Mix well.
  4. To taste, add the seasonings.
  5. Garnish with a pickle spear, celery stalk, or anything of your choice.

3. Preggie Provençe

Ooh, this one is for herb-lovers! Do you like rosemary and lavender? Well, this mocktail combines these two fragrant herbs. Smells and tastes divine!

Ingredients:

  • rosemary leaves (5 to 6 pieces)
  • white grapes (3 to 4 pieces – halved)
  • simple syrup (1/2 ounce)
  • lavender flower petals (1/4 teaspoon)
  • lemon peel (1/2 teaspoon)
  • lemonade (2 ounces)
  • DRY Sparkling Lavender Soda (3 ounces)
  • lemon wheel (1 piece)
  • rosemary (1 sprig)4.4

Steps to Create it:

  1. Smash and mix the following:  rosemary leaves, cut grapes, simple syrup, grated lemon peel, and lavender flower petals, in the bottom part of a mixing glass.
  2. Pour in the lemonade. Shake well with ice.
  3. Strain into a glass.
  4. Top it up with lavender soda. Garnish with your choice of lemon slice or rosemary sprig.

4. Sparkling Peach Sunrise

Who would not want a refreshing drink that is so easy to make? The Sparkling Peach Sunrise, a sister refreshment of the Virgin Sunrise, uses peach instead of orange juice – as well as additional soda, to spruce up the drink.

Ingredients:

  • fresh peach juice (3 ounces)
  • grenadine (3/4 ounce)
  • lemon-lime soda (4​ ounces – to fill)

Steps to Create it:

  1. In a highball glass, pour over the peach juice onto the ice cubes.
  2. Fill it up with soda.
  3. Pour the grenadine slowly. It will sink in the bottom of the drink but would rise gradually, and integrate into the drink.

5. Autumnal Temptations

Sounds like this would just be enjoyed during Fall? Well, this could still be an all-seasons drink.

Ingredients:

  • apricot nectar (3 ounces)
  • agave nectar (just a dash)
  • grapefruit juice (a splash)
  • Dry Sparkling Lavender Soda (1​ ounce)

Steps to Create it:

  1. In a collins glass filled with ice cubes, pour the agave nectars and apricot.
  2. Stir well after adding a splash of grapefruit juice.
  3. Top with lavender soda. Serve with straw.

6. Coconut Key Lime Momtini

Ahh! Beach vibes, ftw! This drink is delicious and rich. Coconut and key lime? Sign us in!

Ingredients:

  • limeade (3 ounces)
  • coconut milk (1 ounce)
  • powdered sugar (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Stirrings Clarified Key Lime (1 ounce)
  • vanilla extract (optional – 2-3 drops)
  • coconut flakes (1 teaspoon)

Steps to Create it:

  1. Combine first five ingredients and shake with ice.
  2. Strain into a glass (preferably a martini one).
  3. For that beach vibes, garnish with coconut flakes.
