Of course we already know how much Butler students love places like Qdoba, Hot Box, Jimmy Johns, and Insomnia Cookies, but there are so many other awesome places to eat off campus! Here’s a list of “Best Places to Eat Off Campus,” organized by location!

Broad Ripple

La Piedad Mexican Restaurant

A classic. Literally the best yet cheapest Mexican food. Great for date night or to cure your Sunday afternoon hangover. You’re bound to see a familiar face every time you go there!

Union Jack Pub

A great restaurant to go with family and friends. They’re known for their pizza and English pub food, but I personally love their pretzel sticks with beer cheese dip appetizer and their Cuban sandwich.

Monon Food Company

This place is run by the coolest people. You must check out their infamous mac n’ cheese and their tacos, and their pitas, and their salads, basically just everything on the menu. They definitely have trendier foods while still having something for everyone!

Mass. Ave.

BRU Burger Bar

BRU has truly perfected the burger and beer combination. They value freshness and the high quality ingredients. BRU is a little more high-end but totally worth it. It’s a great place to go and have a more upscale experience while still enjoying an America’s comfort food, burgers.

Sub Zero Ice Cream

They are taking ice cream and frozen yogurt to a whole new level, creating an experience you will never forget. Sub Zero literally makes the ice-cream right in front of you. Pick your favorite flavor cream or yogurt base and add your favorite toppings and they literally turn your cream into ice-cream, with the help of some liquid nitrogen, right before your eyes.

Bazbeaux

Legendary. Indy’s original pizza place that all started in Broad Ripple. We like the  Mass Ave. location better though due to its larger size and renovations. However, even though its not the original does not mean its lost any of its excellence. They still have excellent employees who have mastered the art of customer service.

P.S.- YOU MUST GET THEIR GARLIC BREAD!

College Ave.

Yats

Yats is our wild card restaurant. They feature New Orleans style food, or as they call it, “cajun.creole.crazy.” Great good at a great price. Oh and they change their menu everyday but you can count on there being beans and rice somewhere.

Café Patachou

A breakfast and lunch only café, they have mastered the combination of modern yet classic American food. They are always updating the menu and have many seasonal favorites. Their motto, “A Student Union For Adults,” defines them perfectly.  Not sure what to get? Try the “Omelette of the Day!”

Good Morning Mama’s

Another great breakfast and lunch place! They have perfected the Midwest classics. Anything from biscuits and gravy, pancakes, corned beef hash, breakfast potatoes, oh and my favorite cheesy grits, will for sure be a crowd pleaser. Oh, and mimosas are the first thing on the menu so you know it has to be a great place.
