Amanda Bynes gets probation in DUI plea deal (via CNN Entertainment)
On Monday Amanda Bynes’ 2012 DUI charge was dismissed in exchange for a plea deal requiring the former Nickelodeon star to pay a fine, attend an alcohol education course, and serve 3 years of probation. The charges were delayed for a bit while a doctor evaluated her mental condition, but was eventually able to report to the courts that she was able to stand trial and be held accountable. She is currently a psychiatric outpatient in the custody of her parents, and hopefully she’s doing better and there will be no more drunk driving and side swiping police cruisers in her future.

Not exactly the finest display of good sportsmanship.

Skeptics question the evidence, with the thought that teens will drink whether they’re allowed to or not, but if it’s illegal they’ll do it secretly which could be much more dangerous.

Needless to say thanks to the reuniting of the former Weekend Update co-hosts, the Monday night debut of Late Night With Seth Meyers was glorious. Oh, and Joe Biden was there too… but Amy Poehler though…
