If you’re like me, exercising is not something you’ve ever enjoyed or get a thrill out of doing. Yes, we would all love of our bodies to be toned so well that we can parade around all summer in crop tops and bathing suits without sucking in our stomach. Sometimes the thought of taking time away from doing something fun, to instead run the track, may be hard for those of us who are more on the lazy side. However, if you want to have your cake and eat it too, here’s some ways that you can still enjoy your free time and also get a workout in.
Running while watching Netflix:
Turn to your favorite show that you’ve been binge watching on Netflix and start running. You’ll be so wrapped up in the show, you may actually forget that you’re sweating so much.
Biking with friends:
Whether it’s early in the morning or later on in the day, biking with friends through your neighborhood can be peaceful and full of scenery. It gives you an opportunity to hang out and talk with your friends, while also getting in some leg work.
Take a swim:
Check out your local pool and do a couple of laps. Bring friends along to turn it into a race between lanes and you can reward yourself later by just splashing around in the pool for fun or diving off the swimming boards.
Walk along the boardwalk:
Instead of just soaking up some sun laying on the beach, take a stroll on the boardwalk. If there’s no boardwalk, a nice walk on the sand is great as well. You’ll still get to smell the salty sea water and enjoy the sun, but you’ll be more active. Make it interesting and walk with a pet or a group of friends.
Dance it out:
If you love to move around and dance, then Zumba will be the perfect solution for you. Getting to dance and listen to music at the same, couldn’t be any more fun.
