With the semester is over and college students are preparing their cap and gowns, and getting ready to receive their diplomas. The transition from college to the real world can be a difficult one, so thankfully Funny or Die went to the streets to ask pedestrians what advice they have for the optimistic class of 2015.
Now this advice wasn’t your average, run of the mill guidance about financial advice, looking for a job, finding a place to live, or how to maintain being nervous about the future. According to Funny or Die, one of the most important things you should know is to not fire your gun at lightning. Some advice was helpful, some was obvious, and some was just really, really weird, but we appreciate the funny advice none the less.
Here were some of our favorites from the video:
“No matter what anyone tells you try your hardest and try not to kill anyone.”
“I say you take a percentage of your check, say about five or ten percent and every week just invest in some really good cocaine.”
“If you need me to tell you to do a podcast, then you’re already f**ked.”
“Try everything once, except celery’s pretty much bullsh*t. Don’t even bother with it, big waste of time.”
“The most important thing about being an adult is following all your favorite brands on social media.”
“Even if you’re parents paid your way through college just remember you don’t owe them sh*t. Cut them off now before the emotions get to complicated.”
“Don’t fire your gun at lightning. It won’t do you any good.”
