One of the things we all will miss after college is the three or four months we have off for summer break. During summer break, you can do whatever you want! Here are some ways to make the most out of your summers during college.

1. Try something new

School is stressful! Between homework, being involved in extracurricular, jobs and having a social life, it’s easy to stay in your comfort zone. During the summer, try something new. Learn how to knit, become a runner, take a painting class — do something you don’t have time to do during the year. Even teach yourself a new language! There are infinite possibilities.

2. Internship/work experience

Unfortunately, today, a good GPA isn’t the only thing that will make you stand out when searching for a job. The summer is a time to get working and interning experience to put on your resume. No matter where you work, you have a few months to develop skills that will help you after college.

3. Travel

Now that you don’t have homework, exams or class to worry about, you have time to fit some traveling into your schedule. Even if it’s just for a long weekend, plan on traveling somewhere new and exciting. If you’re interning or working, you can schedule your travel plans around your work.

4. Relax

Sooner than you think, you’ll be back at school. No matter what you have in store for you this summer, it’s most important to make time for yourself and relax. Isn’t that what summer is all about?!

The long summer months are the perfect time to relax and prepare for the following year. But take advantage of the time off and make the most out of your summer.

How will you spend this summer break?
