Looking to update your phone or have some useful apps on your phone? You’ve come to the right place. These apps will help you with travel, food, drinks and music–all the ingredients for a perfect summer.

World Lens

Traveling at all this summer? This is an older app that has made a lot of improvements. If you don’t speak the language of a place you are going, you can use this app to translate signs and print. This can work wonders if you are renting a car and don’t understand the signs, or you are visiting a museum that doesn’t have any English text (or only has English.)

Foodspotting

Are you a foodie? So are we… that’s why we love this app. “Foodspotting is a visual guide to good food and where to find it. Instead of reviewing restaurants, you can recommend dishes and see what foodspotters, friends and experts recommend wherever you go.” (The App Store) If you are having trouble deciding where to go in a new city or you want to try the creme de la creme, this is the app for you!

Spotify

This is a great music app because of its unlimited library, as well as the ability to share songs, and make playlists available offline so if you are somewhere without service you can still listen to music! You can create your own playlists, get your personal playlists from iTunes, and follow other people’s playlists. There are thousands of playlists created by other people for any mood you are in or any activity you are doing from going on a run to commuting home from work. If you are looking for new music, Spotify makes it easy to discover new bands, new releases, and music from other countries.

Pocket Cocktails

Hosting or entertaining? This app is a great place to find cocktail recipes at the click of a button, or different types of beer and wine for your expert friends. They have drinks for different seasons, occasions as well as a “pocket sommelier!
