How does it work?
Once you have downloaded the app, when you are going to sleep you press the “Put me to sleep” button. You set a timer for how long you would like it to go for, and then it starts saying things that you have to picture. A baby, a man and woman walking over a bridge, playing golf, arriving at a beach-side hotel, etc.
It is the first sleep app based on cognitive science. The cognitive shuffle is based on “counter-insomnolent” thoughts that won’t keep you up at night. Insomnolent thoughts are thoughts like “I have to pay the bills,” etc.
It prevents your mind from creating a train of thought that will keep you worried and thinking, and chooses random things or phrases that will make your mind go into a more drowsy mode and help you fall asleep.
It’s free, so there is no reason not to get it. And you never know when you are going to have one of those nights where you just can’t fall asleep and for some reason there is just a lot on your mind.
