Unless you have been living under a stack of textbooks and term papers, you have probably heard the song “Anaconda” by Nicki Minaj. You know, the one that samples Sir Mix-A-Lot. The song is your typical Nick Minaj pop song. A little raunchy (okay kind of a lot raunchy) and stupidly catchy. Everyone at SC headquarters keeps humming it at their desks and we are waiting for someone to blurt out the words and just totally embarrass themselves. Just kidding. No we aren’t.

Yes we are.

However the one downfall of this song is that it does not have any information about actual Anacondas. She doesn’t teach us anything about snakes! CollegeHumor also agreed that this was a problem so they took it upon themselves to rewrite the song to educate the masses.

Did you know that when measuring by weight, Anacondas are the largest reptile? Did you know that they only need to eat every seven days or that they are found in Ecuador? If you are taking some sort of course where you have a test on Anacondas coming up than you may want to memorize this song because it is filled with all the facts. This is better than that study guide you haven’t made yet.

Of course we still like the original better, but making the songs actually about snakes was pretty hilarious and something we definitely applaud Nicki for. We wonder if they could do an educational version of “Bang Bang” by Jesse J, Ariana Grande and Nicki Minaj or something. We don’t know what it would be about, but we would totally put it on our iPods.
