We’ve all been there. Your alarm goes off and you just can’t go on without that extra 5 minutes of sleep. This happens to me every single morning, and I’d be willing to bet that you’re all feeling it even more now that you’ve gotten past spring break and midterms. Between all the partying and the studying, your body is constantly craving more and more sleep and it never seems to be enough. So, you hit snooze for a few more minutes before your 9am class. But the question is, does hitting the snooze button help you survive your morning better?

Honestly, I don’t know what we would do without AsapSCIENCE in my life because they solve all of my problems. Turns out,  hitting the snooze button is not a good idea. Waking up, you’re doing it wrong. Apparently, hitting the snooze button actually makes you more tired, because your body can go back into deep sleep and get disrupted and it messes with your sleep cycle and oh, forget it. It’s probably not making any sense to you the way I am explaining it. You’re better off just watching the video below…

I will say that snooze button or no snooze button, I don’t think I will feel any less tired when my 5 am alarm goes off. #CommuterProblems (and no I am not sorry for using a hashtag outside of Twitter.)

Will you be breaking up with your snooze button now?
