This is not a good week for Mitt Romney on the presidential campaign trail. Audio clips of his distaste for Obama supporters leaked, and I’m sure something else has happened that will take over the blogging world really soon. So for today’s Video of the Day, I decided to bring back an oldie but goodie: a genius video by Hugh Atkin called “Will the Real Mitt Romney Please Stand Up?” Hugh Atkin pieces sound bites from all of Romney’s interviews and speeches that goes to the tune of Eminem’s classic song.
If you’re not convinced that this cover video is pure genius, just look at the first verse.
Y’all act like you haven’t seen a Mormon before
Drawers down on the floor
I’m not concerned about the very poor
I got it wrong — sorry, that’s not what I meant
I want every American to be in the top one percent
I’m really named Willard, that’s my first name
I’m not looking for a colony on the moon, just for someone to blame
I like being able to fire people
